Wallet Size Photos (Die Cut) on Fuji Pro Luster Paper
Die Cut Wallets are wallet size photos that are a little smaller than 2.5"x3.5" in size, and are printed 8 at a time on a sheet and then ran thru a die cutter that cuts them (with rounded corners). The die cutter leaves the the wallet size photos in the sheet for easy delivery, then they just pop out.
When ordering Die Cut Wallets please note that the die cuts into the image all around, and there is a little variance on the cuts - they will not be 100% identical. On images with little or no head room you may want to leave your wallets un-cut.

Warning: Die Cut Wallets Will Cut Into your Image!
Please notice the image above of the die cut wallet sheet - see how the die cuts into the image? you need to make sure that you do not have text or logos or other design elements that are near the edge.
To be safe if you are adding text or other design elements to your die cut wallet image you should leave about ¼ of an inch of space from any of the edges.

What is the turnaround time for Die Cut Wallets?
The normal turnaround time is 24 hours. Rush service is available and we can usually get an order done in a couple hours if needed.
What size are wallet photos?
Our die cut wallet size photos are a little smaller than 2.5x3.5 inches in size. The die cutter cuts inside the 2.5x3.5 image so they end up closer to 2 1/4 x 3 3/8. If you are cropping your image to wallet size in Photoshop before ordering you should crop the image to 2.5x3.5 and then leave a little room around the edges for the die cut.
Do you offer wallet size prints that are not die cut?
Yes - if you do not want your wallet size prints to be die cut there is a product that is 2 uncut wallet size prints on a 3.5x5 print. You could also put in the special instructions for us to not die cut the sheet of 8 wallets.
How much of the image gets cut off on a wallet size print?
In order to get the rounded corners we have a die that cuts the individual wallets out (they stay in the sheet though). The die cuts into the image a little bit all around, we would say roughly an ⅛ of an inch. So to be safe we would say you should not put any text or logos within ¼ of an inch of any of the edges. Our ordering system shows a slightly grayed out edge all around the die cut wallet crop box to simulate where the unsafe area is, please note that this is an approximation only but it is pretty good (it may be hard to see on some images). If you are not sure your image will work please do a test first or do uncut wallets instead.
What paper are wallets size prints printed on?
Fuji Pro Luster photo paper (Super Type PDN). This is a traditional photographic paper that is light sensitive and is processed thru a series of photo chemicals before going thru a dryer. They are not inkjet prints.
What is Luster finish?
Luster finish (or Lustre) is a mostly flat matte finish with a slight amount sheen and fine texture. We think it is the best looking paper. It is not shiny, and it doesn't pickup finger prints as badly as Glossy finish does.
