Canvas Prints and Canvas Gallery Wraps

Canvas Gallery Wraps

Gallery Wraps are a stylish way to offer large prints, and as a bonus they are ready to hang - no need for an expensive frame. Our wraps are printed on high quality canvas, coated with a protective coating and then stretched on 1.5” stretcher bars. All Gallery Wraps include hanging hardware and are ready to hang.

Normal turnaround time for Canvas Gallery Wraps is 3-5 days.

Canvas Wraps are available in most standard sizes from 8x10 thru 30x40. We can also combine bars to make odd sizes. For instance we can do 11x14 and 30x40, so that means we can also create an 11x30, 14x30, 11x40 or 14x40. We also can do custom sizes as needed for an additional fee, which is generally $10 added onto the next closest size that is larger.

Below are the most common standard sizes. Please check ROES for additional sizes and prices, or give us a call if you do not see a size you are looking for.

Laying Out a Canvas Gallery Wrap

Gallery Wraps can be tricky to layout because of the wrapped edge. We use 1.5” bars, so the image needs to be 1.5” larger all the way around, plus a little extra to make sure it wraps all the way around the back with no edge showing. Your image should be a total of 3.3 inches larger (height and width) than the finished size. So a 16x24 Gallery Wrap is printed as a 19.3 x 27.3, and a 24x40 would be    27.3 x 43.3.

If you are laying out your image in Photoshop we recommend that you use our canvas layout actions. We also recommend you watch our video tutorial on using the canvas layout actions.

Since canvas prints have a rough surface, the required resolution is lower than with standard prints.  As long as the resolution is 95 ppi or greater at the final size your image will print well.

If your image does not quite fit the size you want, in ROES you can request that we add to the edges to make it fit properly.

16x24 Canvas Example

This image is an example of a properly laid out
16x24 Gallery Wrap.

The image is 3.3” larger than 16x24:

Width = 19.3”
Height = 27.3”

The non-shaded area roughly represents the front
of the canvas - and is 16x24.

The shaded area represents the sides that will be
wrapped around the stretcher bars, (plus a little
bit on the back), and is 1.65” all the way around.

Canvas Gallery Wraps can be ordered in ROES,
simply choose the Canvas Gallery Wrap catalog.
ROES will show you roughly where the wrapped
edges will be.
